Don and Teresa Smith
Don and Teresa have been active in church leadership since 1987, where they first served at Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga.
After transferring to middle Tennessee in 1993, the couple immediately became involved in a new church plant where Don served as trustee. Here, the two went on to serve as youth leaders and produced several successful theatrical productions.
After moving to Fairview in 1999, the pair became members of Fairview First Baptist Church where Don was later ordained and served as a Deacon. But as Don's heart for the Lord's church grew, he felt called to do something more. Stepping out in faith, Don partnered with several others to fulfill a shared vision to do church a bit differently. In 2006, Cross Roads Cowboy Church met for the first time in Don and Teresa's home; in their barn.
Now, nearly 17 years later, Don is an ordained leadership minister and he and Teresa have dedicated their lives to serving God in a "come as you are" kind of way. They both continue to produce several highly anticipated theatrical performances each year and enjoy participating in the church's trail rides and equine related events.
